Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Telemetry)

Position Overview

As a CNC, you'll lead and coordinate patient care in a specialized environment treating complex cases including cardiac monitoring, stroke care, and critical care step-down patients. You'll work with advanced medical technologies and participate in multidisciplinary care planning while serving as a clinical resource for staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily unit operations and coordinate patient care activities in a 25-bed PCU/Telemetry unit
• Manage complex patient cases including cardiac monitoring, stroke care, and critical care step-down
• Oversee medication administration including cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin)
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Supervise admission/discharge processes and care transitions
• Provide clinical mentorship and educational support to nursing staff
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance monitoring
• Assist with staff scheduling and resource allocation

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Previous Charge Nurse experience (required)
• BCLS certification (or obtainable within 30 days)
• ACLS certification (or obtainable within 30 days)
• NIHSS Stroke Certification (or obtainable within 30 days)
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac care
• Strong leadership and communication skills
