Emergency Department Nurse Manager - Level II Trauma Center

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Emergency Department (ED) Nurse Manager to lead our fast-paced, 24/7 emergency care unit. As a key member of our leadership team, you will oversee clinical operations, staff development, and quality patient care initiatives while fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of 45 direct reports and 64 total FTEs in a high-volume emergency department
• Drive clinical excellence through implementation of evidence-based practices and quality improvement initiatives
• Oversee daily operations, including staffing optimization, workflow management, and resource allocation
• Develop and mentor nursing staff while promoting professional growth and clinical competency
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care delivery and outcomes
• Manage departmental budget and resources effectively
• Handle conflict resolution and customer service matters with professionalism
• Participate in strategic planning and quality improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• Current Tennessee RN license or compact state licensure
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department clinical experience
• 1-3 years of progressive clinical leadership experience
• BCLS certification (or instructor status within 30 days of hire)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop healthcare teams
