Clinical Nurse Manager, Mother-Baby Unit | Women's Health Leadership
We're seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Manager to lead our Mother-Baby Care Unit. In this role, you'll oversee a dedicated team providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns while driving clinical excellence and quality improvements in women's health services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor clinical staff in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in postpartum and newborn nursery environments
- Drive operational excellence through strategic planning, budget management, and resource optimization
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives specific to women's health and maternal care
- Foster collaborative relationships with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and community partners
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and nursing practice standards
- Oversee staff development, scheduling, and performance management
- Champion evidence-based practices and innovative care delivery models
- Manage departmental budget, resources, and strategic planning initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Current RN license in Texas or compact state
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- 5+ years of acute care nursing experience (or 2+ years with supervisory experience)
- Proven leadership experience in Mother-Baby or Labor & Delivery units
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Strong clinical and operational management skills
- Excellence in communication and team leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration
- Additional certifications in maternal-child nursing
- Experience with quality improvement methodologies
