Position Overview

Reporting to the Case Management Director, you will oversee the hospital-based case management program, leading a team of professionals while ensuring optimal patient care coordination and resource utilization. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership skills to drive successful patient outcomes and departmental excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and clinical expertise to the case management team
  • Drive operational excellence through day-to-day management of the case management program
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, hospital policies, and industry guidelines
  • Monitor and enhance quality metrics through regular staff evaluations and documentation audits
  • Foster collaborative relationships with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Oversee staff development, scheduling, and competency programs
  • Lead performance improvement initiatives and quality assurance programs
  • Manage InterQual utilization and implementation
  • Serve as department leader in Director's absence

Required Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma
  • Current RN license in state of practice or active compact license
  • 3+ years of clinical nursing case management experience in acute care setting
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and case management principles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Case Management Certification
  • InterQual or IQCI Certification
  • Experience with InterQual systems
