Pediatric ICU Nurse Manager - Leadership Opportunity in Critical Care
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Pediatric ICU (PICU) Nurse Manager to lead our dedicated team in delivering exceptional critical care to our youngest patients. As a key member of our leadership team, you will oversee all clinical and operational aspects of our PICU department while fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and compassionate care.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality, age-appropriate critical care
- Drive clinical excellence through quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice
- Manage departmental operations, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain patient safety standards
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with physicians, staff, and hospital leadership
- Oversee staff education, professional development, and performance management
- Implement and monitor quality metrics to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Foster interdepartmental collaboration and communication
- Drive strategic initiatives aligned with organizational goals
Qualifications & Requirements:
- BSN required; MSN preferred
- Current Texas RN license or compact license
- Current BLS and PALS certifications
- Minimum 5 years of acute care nursing experience in pediatric critical care
- Demonstrated leadership experience in PICU or similar critical care setting
- Strong clinical background in pediatric intensive care nursing
- Excellence in staff development, budgeting, and operations management
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
