Blood Cancer Unit Director - Clinical Nurse Leader

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Nurse Leader to serve as our Blood Cancer Unit Director at a leading healthcare facility in Texas. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for our specialized Blood Cancer and Stem Cell Treatment units, ensuring excellence in patient care and departmental performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the Blood Cancer and Stem Cell units, aligning operations with hospital mission and strategic goals
  • Develop and implement cost-effective systems and processes to optimize department performance and patient outcomes
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with medical staff, patients, employees, and key stakeholders
  • Drive continuous quality improvement through data analysis and implementation of best practices
  • Oversee staff development, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to achieve facility objectives and maintain regulatory compliance
  • Monitor and analyze department metrics, budget performance, and patient satisfaction scores

Required Qualifications:

  • Current RN license in Texas or compact license
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years recent acute care leadership experience in Blood Cancer/Oncology unit
  • Current BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross
  • ACLS certification required within 12 months of hire
  • Strong clinical knowledge of oncology and stem cell treatment protocols
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational management skills
