Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacist II - Night Shift (7-on/7-off)
Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacist II, where you'll provide critical pharmaceutical care in a fast-paced, Level I Trauma Center. Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care to adult and pediatric emergency patients across all acuity levels
- Participate in bedside rounds and respond to trauma and medical emergencies
- Collaborate with Emergency Department healthcare providers on medication therapy management
- Precept PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents during night shift rotations
- Support resident research projects, professional presentations, and medication use evaluations
- Optimize medication inventory management in automated dispensing cabinets
- Provide clinical consultation and education to healthcare team members and patients
Required Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree from ACPE-accredited institution
- Virginia pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure within 90 days
- Completion of ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork capabilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- PGY2 residency in Emergency Medicine or Critical Care
- Previous emergency medicine or critical care experience
- Teaching and precepting experience
