Pulmonary Function Technologist (PFT) - Respiratory Care Specialist
Join our growing healthcare team as a Pulmonary Function Technologist, where you'll play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with respiratory conditions. In this position, you'll utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and work alongside experienced healthcare professionals in our modern PFT Lab.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive pulmonary function testing using both invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures
- Execute complex diagnostic assessments with precision and accuracy
- Maintain detailed patient records and testing documentation in electronic medical records
- Manage quality control processes and equipment calibration
- Provide educational support to medical residents and respiratory care students
- Coordinate and participate in community health fairs and outreach programs
- Oversee daily PFT Lab operations and maintain inventory management
- Support respiratory therapy department needs as required
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree from a CoARC-approved respiratory therapy program
- Current respiratory therapy state license
- AHA BLS-HCP certification
- Commitment to obtain CPFT certification within first year
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of clinical respiratory care experience
- Previous pulmonary function testing experience
- AHA ACLS certification
- Experience with electronic medical records
