Clinical Hospital Pharmacist - Full-Time

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Clinical Hospital Pharmacist, where you'll play a crucial role in delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care in a fast-paced hospital environment. We're seeking a detail-oriented, licensed pharmacist to ensure safe medication management and optimize patient outcomes through evidence-based practice.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical pharmacy services and medication therapy management in both pharmacy and patient care areas
  • Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians while ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and medication safety
  • Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards
  • Manage inventory control and contribute to department financial objectives
  • Implement evidence-based clinical protocols and best practices
  • Participate in clinical rounds and patient care planning
  • Handle hazardous medications following safety protocols and USP standards

Required Qualifications:

  • PharmD degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
  • Virginia State Board of Pharmacy license required within 90 days of hire
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency (PGY1)
  • Prior hospital pharmacy experience
  • Experience with electronic health record systems
