Core Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care and clinical services to patients
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians in daily operations
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
• Manage inventory control and optimize department financial performance
• Deliver evidence-based clinical recommendations to healthcare team members
• Participate in interdisciplinary patient care rounds
• Monitor drug therapy for safety and effectiveness
• Maintain accurate documentation and electronic health records

Required Qualifications:

• PharmD degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
• Virginia State Board of Pharmacy license (or eligible for licensure within 90 days)
• ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or 3+ years of clinical pharmacy experience
• Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacology and evidence-based medicine
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

• PGY2 Residency in Pediatrics
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience
• Experience with electronic health record systems
