Senior Respiratory Therapist - Critical Care Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team as the primary respiratory care provider during assigned shifts. This role offers a unique opportunity to work autonomously while providing critical respiratory care services across multiple departments in our advanced medical facility.

Position Overview

As the lead Respiratory Therapist on shift, you will be responsible for managing all respiratory care services, including serving as the primary backup for intubations. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership opportunities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary respiratory care provider during assigned shifts
• Perform and assist with intubations across all departments
• Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to diverse patient populations
• Provide emergency response in critical care situations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Manage respiratory care equipment and supplies
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records

Required Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License
• NBRC certification as CRT or RRT
• Valid Virginia state license
• BLS Certification (AHA Healthcare Provider)
• ACLS Certification or EKG & Pharmacology Course
• Minimum 3 years of clinical respiratory care experience
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
