Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services and medication therapy management
  • Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care and medication safety
  • Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring HIPAA compliance
  • Manage inventory control and contribute to department financial objectives
  • Implement evidence-based clinical practices and protocols
  • Participate in clinical rounds and patient care consultations
  • Handle sterile and non-sterile medication preparation and dispensing

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an ACPE-accredited institution
  • Virginia State Board of Pharmacy license required within 90 days of hire
  • Strong clinical decision-making and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency
  • Hospital pharmacy experience
  • Experience with sterile compounding
  • Advanced certifications in specialized areas
