Clinical Staff Pharmacist - Healthcare System

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical pharmacy services and medication therapy management in various patient care settings
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians in daily operations
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
• Manage inventory control and contribute to department financial objectives
• Implement evidence-based medicine practices and clinical protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Participate in clinical rounds and patient care consultations
• Monitor drug therapy for safety, efficacy, and cost-effectiveness

Required Qualifications:

• PharmD degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
• Virginia State Pharmacist license required within 90 days of hire
• ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or three years of clinical pharmacy experience
• Strong clinical decision-making and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, nights, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

• PGY2 specialization or equivalent experience
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience
• Experience with electronic health record systems
