Pulmonary Function Technologist - Respiratory Care Specialist

Join our growing healthcare team as a Pulmonary Function Technologist where you'll play a vital role in diagnosing and treating patients with respiratory conditions. In this position, you'll utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment while working alongside experienced healthcare professionals in our modern Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) Laboratory.

Core Responsibilities:

• Execute complex diagnostic pulmonary procedures using both invasive and non-invasive techniques
• Perform comprehensive pulmonary function tests including spirometry, body plethysmography, and diffusion studies
• Maintain and calibrate specialized diagnostic equipment to ensure accurate test results
• Document detailed test results in electronic medical records and maintain quality control data
• Provide educational support to medical residents and respiratory care students
• Coordinate and participate in community health fairs and outreach programs
• Manage laboratory supplies and inventory
• Support the respiratory therapy department as needed based on staffing requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree from a CoARC-approved respiratory therapy program
• Current respiratory therapy license
• AHA BLS-HCP certification
• Ability to obtain CPFT certification within first year of employment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent documentation abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of clinical respiratory care experience
• Prior experience with pulmonary function testing
• AHA ACLS certification
• Experience with electronic medical records systems
