Surgical Technologist (Certified Surgical Tech/CST)

Essential Responsibilities:

• Maintain sterile field integrity and ensure strict adherence to aseptic technique
• Perform advanced surgical instrumentation with precision and efficiency
• Execute accurate surgical counts for instruments, sponges, and sharps
• Anticipate surgeon needs and facilitate smooth procedural flow
• Collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Assist in mentoring new team members and students

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Current certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
• Registration with VA Department of Health Professions
• Current BLS certification through American Heart Association
• Strong understanding of surgical anatomy and procedural steps
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
