Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Operating Room

We're seeking a detail-oriented Certified Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic perioperative services team. In this vital role, you'll work alongside surgeons and OR nurses, ensuring patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes through expert sterile technique and instrumentation management.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Maintain sterile field integrity and ensure compliance with aseptic technique protocols
• Perform accurate surgical counts for instruments, sponges, and sharps
• Anticipate surgeon needs and demonstrate proficient instrumentation passing techniques
• Prepare and manage surgical instrumentation and equipment for various procedures
• Collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure exceptional patient care
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and educational activities
• Support compliance with regulatory standards and patient safety protocols

Required Qualifications:

• Current certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
• Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Registration with the VA Department of Health Professions
• High school diploma or equivalent
