Clinical Microbiology Laboratory Manager

A leading healthcare laboratory organization seeks an experienced Clinical Microbiology Laboratory Manager to lead our state-of-the-art microbiology department. Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and optimize daily microbiology laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards
• Lead and develop a team of laboratory professionals through mentoring, training, and performance management
• Drive operational excellence through resource optimization, budget management, and workflow improvements
• Collaborate with regional leadership to achieve departmental goals in quality, service delivery, and financial performance
• Oversee quality control programs and maintain regulatory compliance (CAP, CLIA, Joint Commission)
• Manage laboratory information systems and implement technological advancements
• Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers and stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
• Current ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification in Medical Laboratory Science
• 3-5 years of management experience in a high-volume clinical microbiology setting
• Strong knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and regulatory requirements
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with laboratory information systems and quality management programs
