Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) - Acute Care

Position Overview

As an ER RN, you'll provide professional nursing care in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act, collaborating with our multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in our state-of-the-art emergency department.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Implement and evaluate emergency nursing interventions based on patient needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation and medical records
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment and care
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulatory requirements
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Mentor and support fellow nursing staff

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of recent acute care ER RN experience (within the last year)
• Active Florida RN license or eligible for compact licensure (must obtain FL license within 90 days)
• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma from an accredited institution
• BLS/BCLS certification (must obtain within 30 days of hire)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Computer proficiency and EMR experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Additional emergency nursing certifications (CEN, TNCC)
• Experience with emergency response protocols
