Clinical Registered Nurse II (RN-II) - Medical/Surgical Unit

Valley Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN-II) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Core Responsibilities:

  • Implement comprehensive nursing care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, and evaluation
  • Serve as Charge Nurse, demonstrating clinical leadership and care coordination
  • Lead patient education initiatives and quality/safety improvement projects
  • Direct and coordinate activities of healthcare team members
  • Maintain detailed clinical documentation and electronic health records
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and unit-specific initiatives
  • Develop educational materials for staff, patients, and family members
  • Engage in peer review processes and quality assurance activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Current RN license or eligibility for licensure in Virginia
  • Associates Degree in Nursing (RN Diploma, ASN, or ADN)
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience
  • Current BLS certification
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Specialty certification in relevant clinical area
  • Previous charge nurse experience
  • Epic EHR proficiency
