Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) - Acute Care

Position Overview

As an ER RN, you'll provide professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process while maintaining compliance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act. You'll work collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in our acute care setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Implement and evaluate treatment strategies for emergency care patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Provide critical care interventions in high-acuity situations
• Document patient care using electronic medical records (EMR)
• Maintain compliance with safety protocols and quality standards
• Mentor and support nursing colleagues in professional development
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of recent acute care ER RN experience
• Current Florida RN license or eligible for compact licensure
• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma from an accredited institution
• BLS/BCLS certification (or obtained within 30 days of hire)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Additional certifications: ACLS, PALS, CEN
• Experience with electronic medical records systems
