Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Emergency Department (ED) | Leadership Opportunity
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator in our Emergency Department, where you'll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient care and leading nursing staff. Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate all clinical operations during assigned shifts in collaboration with the ED management team
- Oversee quality metrics and patient care standards while managing daily unit operations
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor condition changes, ensuring appropriate interventions
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and modify patient care plans
- Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to nursing staff through effective delegation and supervision
- Implement evidence-based practices and maintain compliance with safety and infection control protocols
- Deliver patient/family education and ensure clear communication across the care continuum
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
- 3+ years RN experience (ICU or Psychiatric experience considered)
- Minimum 1 year Emergency Department nursing experience
- ACLS and PALS certification (or obtainable within 12 months)
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification (obtainable within 6 months)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Trauma nursing experience
- Previous Charge Nurse experience
- Emergency Nursing Certification (CEN)
