Emergency Department Nurse Manager - Level I Trauma Center

Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Emergency Department (ED) Nurse Manager at our state-of-the-art facility in Tennessee. We're seeking an experienced, passionate nursing leader to drive clinical excellence and operational efficiency in our fast-paced emergency department.

Position Overview

As ED Nurse Manager, you'll lead a dedicated team of 45 direct reports and oversee 64 FTEs while ensuring exceptional patient care delivery in our emergency department. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership skills to create a superior healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all ED functions and staff
• Implement and maintain evidence-based clinical practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes
• Direct staffing operations, including recruitment, scheduling, and professional development
• Drive performance improvement initiatives and maintain regulatory compliance
• Foster collaborative relationships with interdisciplinary teams
• Manage departmental budget and resource allocation
• Lead quality improvement projects and monitor clinical outcomes
• Ensure excellent patient experience and prompt resolution of concerns

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred
• Minimum 2 years Emergency Department clinical experience
• 1-3 years progressive clinical leadership experience
• BCLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
• Strong interpersonal and organizational leadership skills
