Position Overview
As the Nurse Manager, you'll oversee our Mother-Baby Care Unit operations, leading clinical excellence initiatives while managing staff development and patient satisfaction programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct all clinical and operational aspects of the Mother-Baby Care Unit
- Lead and mentor nursing staff, promoting professional development and excellence in patient care
- Ensure compliance with quality metrics and safety standards for maternal and newborn care
- Develop and implement women's health initiatives and process improvements
- Manage departmental budget, staffing, and resource allocation
- Foster collaborative relationships with physicians, staff, and interdisciplinary teams
- Drive patient satisfaction and quality outcomes through evidence-based practices
- Serve as a key liaison between hospital administration and community partners
Required Qualifications
- Current Texas RN license or compact license
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- 5 years recent acute care leadership experience in Mother-Baby Unit (or 2 years supervisory experience)
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- NRP certification
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration
- Certification in Maternal-Newborn Nursing
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives
