Laboratory Manager - Histology Department

We're seeking an experienced Laboratory Manager to lead our Histology Department in a state-of-the-art medical facility. This role combines technical expertise with leadership skills to ensure optimal laboratory operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance.

Core Responsibilities:

• Direct daily laboratory operations, managing both technical and non-technical resources
• Lead and develop a team of laboratory professionals through recruitment, training, and performance management
• Ensure compliance with CAP, JCAHO, CLIA, FDA, and CMS regulatory standards
• Oversee quality assurance programs and continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage departmental budget and resource allocation
• Collaborate with medical director on policy development and operational metrics
• Evaluate and implement new methodologies and technologies
• Drive customer satisfaction through service excellence

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Histotechnology, Medical Laboratory Science, or related field
• National Certification as a Medical or Histology Technologist
• 3-5 years of Histology supervisory experience
• Proven experience in hospital or central laboratory setting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellence in team leadership and communication

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in related field
• Previous laboratory director experience
• Experience with laboratory information systems
