CVOR Registered Nurse - Level III (Cardiovascular Operating Room RN)
Join our prestigious cardiac surgery team as a Level III CVOR Registered Nurse, where you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care during complex cardiovascular procedures. Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate patient care during cardiac surgical procedures
- Maintain strict sterile technique and surgical safety protocols
- Manage complex surgical equipment and monitoring systems
- Perform circulating and scrub nurse duties as needed
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education
- Serve as charge nurse and mentor to junior staff members
- Document patient care using electronic medical records
- Cross-train in non-cardiac specialties as needed
Required Qualifications:
- BSN required, MSN preferred
- Current RN license in Virginia (multi-state or single-state)
- Minimum 3 years of CVOR experience (5,616 hours)
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- Advanced cardiac surgery certification preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Physical ability to perform essential job functions
