Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Position Overview

As a key member of our imaging team, you’ll perform highly specialized PET/CT and SPECT/CT nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring diagnostic accuracy, patient comfort, and compliance with all safety standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate advanced PET/CT and SPECT/CT hybrid imaging systems to perform diagnostic nuclear medicine studies.

  • Accurately calculate, prepare, and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with safety protocols.

  • Deliver exceptional patient care by explaining procedures, ensuring safety, and optimizing comfort.

  • Validate physician orders and ensure accurate patient identification.

  • Perform and document daily quality control and quality assurance procedures.

  • Maintain precise, confidential imaging records in compliance with HIPAA standards.

  • Engage in continuing education and remain current on nuclear medicine best practices.


Required Qualifications

  • Current CNMT or ARRT(N) certification.

  • Valid New York State Department of Health Nuclear Medicine License.

  • Current CPR certification.

  • Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.


Preferred Qualifications

  • NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(CT) certification.

  • Prior PET/CT experience (training available for qualified applicants).
