Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized treatment programs based on comprehensive patient evaluations.
Administer various therapeutic techniques including gait training, soft tissue mobilization, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and more.
Educate patients and families on equipment usage (wheelchairs, crutches, braces, prosthetics).
Adjust treatment plans based on patient progress; collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
Maintain accurate documentation including evaluations, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
Provide mentorship and supervision to Physical Therapy Assistants as needed.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control procedures.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and department meetings.
Support transport and care of patients when required.
Qualifications:
Licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice Physical Therapy in the state of New York.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
Experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
Ability to lift 30 lbs independently and assist with 150 lbs as a team.
Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
