As a Certified Athletic Trainer, you’ll play an essential role in supporting local athletes—from high school teams to semi-pro leagues. Responsibilities include:
Delivering onsite care including first aid, injury evaluation, emergency management, and rehabilitation.
Covering practices, games, and travel events, including nights and weekends as needed.
Coordinating care and follow-ups with physicians and healthcare teams.
Developing and executing individualized treatment and strength conditioning programs.
Communicating with athletes, coaches, parents, and physicians regarding health status and return-to-play.
Documenting injuries, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with confidentiality and healthcare standards.
Participating in pre/post-participation physicals, onboarding for new contracts, and community outreach programs.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a health-related field (minimum requirement).
Certification: Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers (BOC).
Licensure: Must be certified as an Athletic Trainer in New York State.
CPR Certification: Required within 90 days of hire.
Experience: 1–2 years in a sports environment preferred; new grads encouraged to apply!
Salary Range: $55,000 – $88,608 annually (commensurate with experience)
