Emergency Department Nurse Manager - Level I Trauma Center

Position Overview

As ED Nurse Manager, you'll oversee daily operations of our busy emergency department, leading a team of 45 direct reports and managing 64 FTEs. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership skills to ensure superior patient outcomes and staff development.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive clinical excellence through implementation of evidence-based practices and quality initiatives
• Lead and mentor a large healthcare team, fostering professional growth and maintaining optimal staffing levels
• Oversee department operations, including workflow optimization and resource management
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain high standards of patient care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care delivery
• Manage department budget and resources effectively
• Handle conflict resolution and stakeholder communications professionally
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and quality metrics

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in Tennessee or compact state
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred
• Minimum 2 years Emergency Department clinical experience
• 1-3 years demonstrated leadership experience
• BCLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
