Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Telemetry)

We're seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to join our dynamic Progressive Care Unit. This leadership role combines hands-on patient care with care coordination responsibilities in our 25-bed PCU/Telemetry unit, offering an excellent opportunity for career advancement in specialized cardiac care.

Position Overview

As the Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you'll serve as a key clinical leader in our Progressive Care Unit, managing complex cardiac patients and providing mentorship to nursing staff. Our unit specializes in advanced cardiac monitoring, stroke care, and managing critical care step-down patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate patient care delivery across a 25-bed Progressive Care/Telemetry Unit
• Manage complex cardiac cases including chest pain, hypertensive urgency, CVA/TIA patients
• Oversee administration of critical care drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin)
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care teams and facilitate care transitions
• Provide clinical mentorship and educational support to nursing staff
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and quality measures
• Support unit-based scheduling and resource allocation

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license with BSN required
• Minimum 3 years Progressive Care or Telemetry nursing experience
• Previous Charge Nurse experience required
• Current BCLS certification (or obtained within 30 days)
• ACLS certification (or obtained within 30 days)
• NIHSS Stroke Certification (or obtained within 30 days)
