Clinical Nurse Coordinator (Emergency Department) - Leadership Opportunity
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator in our Emergency Department, where you'll play a pivotal leadership role in delivering exceptional patient care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to blend clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities while working in a fast-paced, Level II trauma center.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate all emergency department operations during assigned shifts
- Provide clinical oversight and mentorship to nursing staff
- Implement and maintain quality patient care standards
- Manage patient flow and resource allocation
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols
- Facilitate patient/family education and communication
Required Qualifications:
- Current RN license in Tennessee or compact state
- Associate's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- 3+ years RN experience (ICU or Psychiatric experience considered)
- Minimum 1 year Emergency Department experience
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS and PALS certification (or obtain within 1 year)
- CPI certification (or obtain within 6 months)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Trauma nursing experience
- Previous Charge Nurse experience
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Emergency Department-specific certifications
