Clinical Hospital Pharmacist - Inpatient Care Specialist

Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care and clinical services to patients across multiple care units
- Lead and mentor pharmacy technicians through functional supervision
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy outcomes
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Manage inventory control and contribute to department financial objectives
- Implement evidence-based clinical practices and protocols
- Participate in interdisciplinary patient care rounds
- Monitor drug therapy for appropriate dosing, interactions, and adverse effects
Required Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an ACPE-accredited institution
- Virginia State Board of Pharmacy licensure required within 90 days of hire
- Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience
- Experience with electronic health record systems
