Emergency Department Nurse Manager (RN) – Full-Time, Days

Salary Range: $115,000 – $130,000 (Based on Experience)

Key Responsibilities

As the Emergency Department Nurse Manager, you will:

  • Oversee operations across two Emergency Departments.

  • Lead, develop, and support nursing staff in delivering exceptional patient care.

  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.

  • Manage staffing, education, orientation, and retention of clinical personnel.

  • Coordinate interdisciplinary care, resource allocation, and clinical workflows.

  • Provide direct oversight of the Hospital Clinical Leaders and Medic 55 ALS Program.

  • Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission standards and internal policies.

  • Promote evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement.


Qualifications

Education & Licensure

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program.

  • Master’s degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field required.

  • Active NYS RN license in good standing.

Certifications

  • Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS (via RQI system during orientation)

  • CPI within 90 days of hire

  • TNCC within 18 months

  • Basic Coronary Care within 6 months

  • Preferred: CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) within one year

Experience

  • 3–4 years RN experience (minimum)

  • 18+ months RN experience in an Emergency Department

  • Leadership or management experience preferred (1 year)

Key Skills

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills

  • Proficiency in project management and multi-department coordination

  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, Meditech, and healthcare IT systems
