Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Lead pharmaceutical care initiatives as part of interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Provide expert pharmacotherapy consultations and medication therapy management

- Deliver evidence-based drug information and clinical guidance to healthcare providers
- Conduct patient and family education on medication therapy
- Oversee sterile/non-sterile medication compounding processes
- Manage medication order verification and dispensing workflows
- Mentor pharmacy students and residents

- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and best practices
Required Qualifications
- PharmD degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
- Virginia State Pharmacy License (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
- Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills
- Excellence in communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in pharmacy information systems and technology
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of Pharmacy Practice Residency
- Hospital pharmacy experience
- Experience with electronic health record systems
