Director of Perioperative Services & Surgical Operations
We're seeking an experienced, dynamic healthcare leader to serve as our Director of Surgical Services at our state-of-the-art medical facility. This pivotal leadership role oversees all perioperative services while driving operational excellence, patient safety, and team development across our surgical departments.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all surgical services, maintaining 24/7 accountability
- Drive clinical excellence and quality patient outcomes through evidence-based practices
- Manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, and capital equipment planning
- Lead and develop high-performing perioperative teams through mentorship and professional development
- Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain surgical safety standards
- Foster physician relationships and drive surgical program growth
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
- Advance patient experience and satisfaction metrics
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- Current RN licensure in state of practice
- Minimum 3 years leadership experience in surgical services/operating room
- Demonstrated success in perioperative operations management
- Strong financial acumen and business planning capabilities
- Excellence in team leadership and interpersonal communication
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration
- CNOR certification
- CSSM certification
- Experience with surgical service line development
