Surgical Technologist - Operating Room (OR) Specialist

Essential Responsibilities:
- Maintain sterile field integrity and ensure compliance with aseptic technique protocols
- Expertly handle and pass surgical instruments during procedures
- Perform accurate surgical counts of sponges, needles, and instruments
- Prepare and manage surgical instrumentation and equipment
- Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Assist in training and mentoring new team members
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Current certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
- Active registration with VA Department of Health Professions
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
- Military training in surgical technology accepted
