Clinical Registered Nurse II (RN-II) - Medical/Surgical Unit

Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement comprehensive nursing care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, and evaluation
- Lead and coordinate patient care activities with interdisciplinary healthcare team members
- Serve as Charge Nurse, demonstrating clinical leadership and decision-making abilities
- Develop and execute patient education programs
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic health records
- Mentor and support nursing staff in delivering evidence-based care
- Contribute to departmental initiatives and committee work
Required Qualifications:
- Current Virginia RN license or eligibility for licensure
- Associates Degree in Nursing (RN Diploma, ASN, or ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational capabilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Specialty certification in relevant clinical area
- Experience with Epic or similar EMR systems
