Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Telemetry)

Position Overview

As the Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you'll lead a specialized unit handling complex cases including cardiac monitoring, stroke care, and critical care transition patients. You'll manage advanced medical interventions while coordinating care delivery and maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Essential Responsibilities

• Coordinate comprehensive patient care delivery in a 25-bed Progressive Care/Telemetry unit
• Oversee treatment for patients requiring specialized cardiac monitoring, stroke care, and critical care transition
• Manage complex medication protocols including cardizem, amiodarone, and heparin drips
• Lead multidisciplinary team collaboration for optimal patient outcomes
• Provide clinical mentorship and education to nursing staff
• Ensure compliance with healthcare quality metrics and safety standards
• Facilitate efficient admission and discharge processes
• Participate in staff scheduling and resource allocation

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Previous Charge Nurse experience required
• BCLS certification (or obtainable within 30 days)
• ACLS certification (or obtainable within 30 days)
• NIHSS Stroke Certification (or obtainable within 30 days)
• Strong clinical background in Progressive Care or Telemetry
