Emergency Department Nurse Manager | Clinical Leadership Opportunity

Position Overview

As ED Nurse Manager, you'll oversee daily operations of our busy emergency department, managing a team of 45 direct reports and 64 total FTEs. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership skills to ensure outstanding patient outcomes and departmental excellence.

Essential Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and clinical outcomes
• Direct all staffing operations, including recruitment, scheduling, and professional development
• Oversee clinical operations and maintain emergency department workflow efficiency
• Develop and maintain quality metrics and performance improvement initiatives
• Foster collaborative relationships with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders
• Manage department budget and resource allocation
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain department accreditation standards
• Drive patient satisfaction initiatives and handle conflict resolution

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in Tennessee or compact state
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred
• Minimum 2 years Emergency Department clinical experience
• 1-3 years clinical leadership experience
• BCLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
