Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Emergency Department | Leadership Role
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) in our Emergency Department, where you'll play a pivotal leadership role in delivering exceptional patient care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to blend clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities while working in a fast-paced, Level II trauma center.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate all emergency department operations during assigned shifts
- Provide clinical oversight and mentorship to nursing staff
- Implement and maintain quality patient care standards and protocols
- Manage patient flow and resource allocation in real-time
- Facilitate effective communication between interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Monitor and evaluate patient care outcomes
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards
- Coordinate patient education and discharge planning
Required Qualifications:
- Current RN license in Tennessee or compact state
- Associate's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Minimum 3 years RN experience (ICU or Psychiatric experience considered)
- Minimum 1 year Emergency Department experience
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
- ACLS and PALS certification (required within 1 year)
- CPI certification (required within 6 months)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Trauma care experience
- Previous Charge Nurse experience
- Emergency Department leadership experience
