Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and daily operational oversight of the Medical-Surgical unit
• Develop, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff performance
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies
• Drive quality metrics and patient satisfaction outcomes
• Manage unit budget and resource allocation
• Implement evidence-based practices and performance improvement initiatives
• Foster collaborative relationships with interdisciplinary teams
• Participate in strategic planning and unit-based initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license or compact license
• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years acute care RN experience
• 2+ years recent Med-Surg leadership experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Advanced specialty certification (required within first year)
• Strong clinical and operational decision-making abilities
