Director of Perioperative Services & Surgical Operations

We're seeking an experienced, dynamic healthcare leader to serve as our Director of Surgical Services at our state-of-the-art medical facility. This executive-level position offers the opportunity to lead a comprehensive perioperative program while driving operational excellence and patient care quality.

Position Overview

As Director of Surgical Services, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all perioperative services, managing a multi-million dollar budget and leading a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. This role offers 24/7 responsibility for maintaining exceptional surgical services while focusing on patient safety, staff development, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all perioperative services
• Drive clinical excellence and maintain regulatory compliance across surgical operations
• Develop and implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient care quality
• Lead performance improvement initiatives and quality monitoring programs
• Manage departmental budget and resource allocation
• Foster physician relationships and drive surgical program growth
• Mentor and develop staff while promoting a positive workplace culture
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and safety standards

Required Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN, MBA, or MHA preferred
• Current RN license in state of practice
• Minimum 3 years leadership experience in surgical services
• Strong operational and financial management background
• Excellence in team leadership and staff development

Preferred Qualifications

• CNOR certification
• CSSM certification
• Experience with surgical service line development
• Track record of implementing quality improvement initiatives
