Progressive Care Clinical Nurse Coordinator – Telemetry Unit | RN Leadership Role

Job Responsibilities

Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a 25-bed Progressive Care/Telemetry Unit
Manage patients with diverse conditions including chest pain, hypertensive urgency, CVA, TIA, altered mental status, sepsis, and peritoneal dialysis
Administer and monitor cardiac drips including cardizem, amiodarone, heparin, lasix, and protonix
Oversee continuous BiPAP therapy and telemetry monitoring for at-risk patients
Partner with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including physicians, case managers, and allied health professionals
Coordinate patient admission and discharge processes to ensure seamless care transitions
Monitor and evaluate nursing care delivery in accordance with hospital policies and evidence-based practices
Provide clinical coaching, feedback, and training to nursing staff to enhance performance and engagement
Assist with staff scheduling and unit resource management
Collaborate with leadership and subject matter experts to drive improved patient outcomes and satisfaction scores
Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for bedside nurses
Support preparation for stress testing and cardiac catheterization procedures

Job Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required
Previous Charge Nurse experience required
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or CPR certification – must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – must be obtained within 30 days of hire
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification – must be obtained within 30 days of hire
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proven leadership and staff development capabilities
Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac drip administration
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
