Labor & Delivery Nurse Manager - Acute Care Leadership Position

Key Responsibilities
- Administer, analyze, and appraise patient care delivery within the Labor & Delivery unit to ensure optimal clinical outcomes
- Provide strategic guidance to hospital management on patient care status, budgetary projections, and quality improvement initiatives
- Anticipate and forecast departmental needs to enhance quality of patient care and operational efficiency
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff, promoting professional development and clinical competence
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate department efforts and accomplish organizational mission and goals
- Monitor and evaluate nursing care standards, implementing evidence-based practices in maternal and newborn care
- Lead staff education programs and competency assessments to maintain high-quality care standards
- Oversee staffing schedules, resource allocation, and workflow optimization within the unit
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of recent (within the last year) Acute Care Labor & Delivery Leadership experience required
- Active and unrestricted RN license in the State of Texas
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Completion of Medication Learning Module
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within six (6) months of hire
- AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring Certification required within six (6) months of hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Demonstrated experience in Labor & Delivery, PACU, ICU, or Operating Room settings
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to manage budgets and implement quality improvement initiatives
