Cardiovascular Services Manager RN - Lead Cardiology Operations & Patient Care Excellence
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager of Cardiovascular Services (RN) to oversee the clinical, technical, and operational excellence of our comprehensive Cardiology Services departments. Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day clinical operations of Cardiovascular Services departments including Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, Cardiac Day Recovery, Echocardiography Lab, and EKG services
- Provide leadership call coverage for the Cardiac Cath Lab to ensure continuous quality patient care
- Direct the procurement, utilization, and stewardship of technical, physical, and human resources to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with patient care quality standards across all age groups, from neonatal to geriatric populations
- Maintain and enhance performance improvement activities and participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives
- Assist in budget formulation and financial management for the cardiovascular services department
- Develop, interpret, and administer departmental policies, procedures, and protocols in alignment with hospital and regulatory standards
- Ensure full compliance with Joint Commission (JCAHO), state, federal, and local regulatory requirements
- Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous professional development
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related healthcare field required
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in Cardiology or cardiovascular services
- Leadership: Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory or management experience required; 2-5 years preferred
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Certifications Required (within 30 days of hire):
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/BLS) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS/ALS)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular procedures, equipment, and best practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple departments and lead diverse healthcare teams
- Understanding of healthcare compliance, quality improvement, and regulatory standards
