Radiology Technologist - Full-Time Direct Hire Position in Scenic Geneva, NY

Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging studies for patients across all age groups using advanced radiographic and portable imaging equipment
- Ensure accurate patient positioning and adherence to established imaging protocols and procedure guidelines
- Implement and maintain strict radiation safety protocols for patients, staff, and personal protection
- Operate and manage Radiology Information Systems (RIS), Computed Radiography (CR), and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for efficient workflow
- Administer contrast media safely while monitoring for and responding appropriately to adverse reactions
- Maintain infection control standards following Universal Precautions and healthcare safety guidelines
- Provide compassionate, professional care while maintaining patient comfort and confidentiality
- Troubleshoot imaging equipment and coordinate with service technicians as needed
- Participate in rotating on-call coverage for evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Complete accurate documentation and maintain organized patient records
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program or Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Radiologic Technology
- Current NYS Radiologic Technologist license (required)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification (required)
- Successful completion of a recognized 24-month Radiology Technology program
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety principles and imaging techniques
- Proficiency with RIS, CR, and PACS imaging systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Physical capability to position patients and operate imaging equipment
- Flexibility to participate in on-call rotation and occasional weekend coverage
- Recent Radiology Tech program graduates are encouraged to apply
