Nuclear Medicine Technologist – PET/CT & SPECT/CT Imaging Specialist | Syracuse, NY

Join a premier outpatient imaging center in Syracuse, NY as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist specializing in PET/CT and SPECT/CT hybrid imaging. This full-time, direct hire position offers an exceptional salary range of $90,000–$110,000, comprehensive benefits, and career advancement opportunities including fully covered CT certification training. New graduates are encouraged to apply—PET experience is not required as complete training will be provided.

Job Responsibilities

Perform high-quality PET/CT and SPECT/CT imaging procedures in a state-of-the-art outpatient setting
Calculate, order, prepare, administer, and document radioactive isotopes and radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols
Provide comprehensive patient education regarding exam preparation, procedure expectations, and post-exam instructions
Verify physician orders and confirm patient identification using proper safety protocols prior to all procedures
Execute daily, weekly, and monthly quality control procedures to ensure optimal equipment performance
Maintain strict compliance with radiation safety standards, regulatory requirements, and continuing education mandates
Document all procedures accurately in the electronic medical record system
Collaborate with radiologists, referring physicians, and healthcare team members to ensure excellent patient outcomes

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) or ARRT(N) certification
Active New York State Department of Health (NYS DOH) Nuclear Medicine License
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient interaction
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
Commitment to maintaining professional competency through continuing education

Preferred Qualifications:

NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(CT) certification
Previous experience with hybrid imaging modalities
Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and quality assurance procedures
