Key Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all nursing operations within the skilled nursing facility to ensure optimal patient care delivery and clinical outcomes
• Develop, implement, and maintain nursing policies, procedures, and protocols in full compliance with state and federal regulations
• Recruit, mentor, train, and evaluate nursing staff while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, physicians, and therapists to create comprehensive care plans and enhance patient outcomes
• Monitor quality assurance programs and implement continuous improvement initiatives to maintain excellence in patient care
• Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, Title 22, and Joint Commission standards
• Manage nursing department budget, staffing schedules, and resource allocation
• Conduct regular facility surveys and prepare for state inspections and regulatory audits
• Serve as liaison between administration, medical staff, residents, and family members

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 5 years of Director of Nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care setting
• At least 1 year of Medicare home health leadership or supervisory experience
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Healthcare Administration preferred
• Comprehensive knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations, SNF operations, and state/federal healthcare compliance standards
• Proven leadership abilities with excellent team-building and staff development skills
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
• Strong organizational and time-management capabilities with attention to detail
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and healthcare management software
• Current CPR and BLS certification
