Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Licensed Electrical Engineer (PE) to join our dynamic team at a leading commercial architecture firm. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring 2-3 days onsite, providing flexibility and work-life balance. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the electrical design of complex building systems and mentoring junior staff.


Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Take charge of the electrical design direction for various projects, reporting directly to the Senior MEP Engineer.
  • Client Interaction: Engage directly with clients to discuss technical solutions and design choices, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to implement plans and oversee the design and technical delivery.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff, fostering professional growth within the team.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer License: Must be a licensed PE with registration in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, or capable of obtaining licensure.
  • Experience: At least 6 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering design for building systems, including complex project designs.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in BIM 360 / Revit are essential for successful job performance.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, comfortable with presentations to various audiences.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to coach colleagues effectively.
