We're seeking a talented Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our established Buffalo-based company. In this role, you'll spearhead the design and development of cutting-edge prototype products, leveraging your expertise in SolidWorks and mechanical engineering principles.
• Conceptualize and draft intricate mechanical components for diverse projects
• Orchestrate project timelines, ensuring adherence to critical deadlines
• Collaborate cross-functionally with software engineers, electrical engineers, and technicians
• Prioritize reliability, serviceability, and cost-efficiency in all designs
• Ensure compliance with ETL and UL standards throughout the design process
• Develop and maintain detailed, costed Bills of Materials (BOM) for each project
• Drive innovation in product development from concept to manufacturing
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, PDM, and Microsoft Office suite
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Technical aptitude with a focus on mechanical systems
• Experience with prototype development and manufacturing processes (preferred)
